Agreement for the Transfer of Land and Buildings between Viscofan CZ and the South Bohemian Region

Viscofan CZ and the South Bohemian Region have reached an agreement under which the regional government will acquire Viscofan CZ’s current land and facilities for a total of CZK 600 million. This transaction will enable the city of České Budějovice to repurpose the area for new residential and urban developments.
As part of this initiative, Viscofan CZ has secured a 7.7-hectare plot in the Airport Area of České Budějovice—twice the size of its current site—where it plans to build a new factory. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with operations expected to commence by mid-2028. The new facility will match the current production capacity while overcoming the spatial and design limitations of the existing plant.
The total investment for the land acquisition and construction of the new factory is estimated at CZK 1.25 billion, reinforcing Viscofan CZ’s long-term commitment to industrial innovation and regional development.
Viscofan CZ y la Región de Bohemia del Sur han alcanzado un acuerdo mediante el cual el gobierno regional adquirirá los terrenos e instalaciones actuales de Viscofan CZ por un total de 600 millones CZK. Esta operación permitirá a la ciudad de České Budějovice destinar el área a nuevos desarrollos residenciales y urbanos.
Como parte de esta iniciativa, Viscofan CZ adquirirá una parcela de 7,7 hectáreas en la zona del aeropuerto de České Budějovice -el doble del tamaño de su ubicación actual-, donde construirá una nueva fábrica. Se prevé que la construcción comience en 2027 y que las operaciones se inicien a mediados de 2028.
